Each story within the Realm of Visions are based off of real peoples dream and nightmare encounters. These were collected specially for the book and carefully selected to create a none conventional and weird seeming storyline. This story idea is inspired by humans dreams and nightmares and the way that when in a dreamlike state, our brains create such crazy and unrealistic images and stories. This makes the book more personal to everybody as we have all has dreams of a strange or weird nature in our own lives which help us to relate to the stories shown in the book. ​

This book gives the reader control over the story, and allows them to choose what will happen next. This works by giving the reader two options at the bottom of each page, which the reader then gets to decide between. They are then relocated to the correct page of the book to continue the story.

There are five main possible endings which you can get when reading this story; with three of which resulting in the death of the character, and the others resulting in survival of the book. However, a final outcome sends the reader back to the beginning of the book to begin the course again and make new decisions to what will happen, therefore creating an entirely new narrative. This creates a looping effect which means that the story could go on forever if read in this way. This is just one of the many different twists and tales of this book which make it so unique.
